Certifications & Associations

A History of Excellence

At NAI, we hold ourselves to the highest standards to ensure that our clients and the public receive the highest quality and most effective supplements available. As such, we hold an extensive list of certifications from standard-bearing governing bodies in the industry, including the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia (TGA) and the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard set forth by the US Food and Drug Administration.

Conformance to cGMP Standards

NAI maintains current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as established by the United States Food and Drug Administration. These guidelines for manufacturing have been established to ensure that products are safe, unadulterated, and meet the quality standards for food products. These stringent standards ensure standardized manufacturing and quality in all products manufactured by NAI.

Conformance to cGMP Standards

The Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia (TGA) prepares standards, conducts testing programs and evaluates therapeutic products internationally. This certification enables NAI to produce products that have been manufactured under strict requirements and export these products to countries around the world.

Health Canada

Health Canada is the department of the Canadian government with responsibility for national public health. Health Canada has initiated work to modernize its regulatory system for food and health products. NAI was issued its initial certification by Health Canada in December 2011. This approval demonstrates another level of regulatory compliance by NAI, and may also ease the approval process for our customers who import products into Canada.

NSF/NSF Sport

NAI has been awarded GMP registration annually since October 2002 by NSF International (NSF) through the NSF Dietary Supplements Certification Program. GMP requirements are regulatory standards and guidelines that set forth necessary processes, procedures, and documentation for manufacturers in an effort to assure the products produced by that manufacturer have the identity, strength, composition, quality, and purity represented. The NSF Certified for Sport program focuses on minimizing the risk that a dietary supplement or sports nutrition product contains banned substances and was developed due to growing demand from athletes and coaches concerned about banned substances in sports supplements. NAI’s participation in the program allows us to produce products bearing the NSF Sport logo.

SSCI Benchmarking Standards

The Supplement Safety and Compliance Initiative (SSCI) was established in 2015 to strengthen the quality control measures involved with nutritional supplements. In May 2021, NAI became the first company to meet new safety and benchmarking standards created by the SSCI.  This achievement follows a more than five-year effort by the world’s leading nutritional supplement retailers–including Walmart and GNC–in collaboration with the Natural Products Association (NPA) and its members, to set globally harmonized benchmarking standards for natural products.

Organic NFC

NAI is certified as an Organic Processor and Handler by Natural Food Certifiers (NFC). This certification demonstrates our facility meets the USDA National Organic Program standards and allows our contract manufacturing and packaging services to include products labeled as Organic.

ISA Halal Certification

Islamic Services of America is a leading Halal Certification body in the United States and North America, recognized internationally in every sector of the Halal industry. NAI is an ISA-certified manufacturing facility. This certification signifies that NAI can produce Halal-certified products for their customers.

Kosher

NAI is authorized to produce Kosher products.  NAI partners with multiple Rabbinical organizations to ensure our Clients’ Kosher product certification standards are met.  Production under Kosher requirements guarantees that the manufacturing facility, processes for, and ingredients of certified products have been reviewed and found to be in compliance with Kosher dietary laws.

SwissMedic

SwissMedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products, is a public institution of the Swiss government. The agency ensures that only high-quality, safe, and effective medical products are available in Switzerland, thus making an essential contribution to human and animal health protection. With this certification, NAIE can create finished goods that are SwissMedic approved.

Informed Sport

Informed Sport is a global quality assurance and supplement certification program for sports supplements. The presence of the Informed Sport supplement certification quality mark on product packaging demonstrates to athletes and consumers that every batch of a product has been tested for more than 250 substances prohibited in sport and that the product was made in an environment with quality systems appropriate for the stringent demands of sports nutrition manufacturing. With this certification, NAIE can create finished goods for their customers that are Informed Sport certified.
